Old Buffalo scrapbook, 1925.

Contains clippings, 1911-1913, of the newspaper column written by Grace Carew Sheldon for The Buffalo Times entitled "This Day in Buffalo's History: Fifty Years Ago Today". The clippings were collected by Grace Carew Sheldon, given to her sister, Mrs. Sara Palmer Sheldon, and then to Mrs. Bartlett, who prepared the scrapbook early in 1925.

Alice M. Evans Bartlett was the great granddaughter of the sister of Joseph Ellicott, surveyor of Buffalo. The wife of Dr. G. Hunter Bartlett, she was a writer, amateur historian, and club woman. Grace Carew Sheldon, daughter of Judge James Sheldon, was a member of the Buffalo Courier staff from 1890 to 1900 and, at the time of her death, was writing a column on Buffalo history for the Buffalo Times.
